B&B Silo Systems designs and manufactures automatic storage, transport, milling and dosing systems for raw materials, addressing the food industry. The wide range includes mixers, which are used to mix together powders, granules or short fibers, to humidify, agglomerate or granulate such materials and/or to mix liquids or low viscosity pastes.

The special shape of the mixing chamber does not allow the creation of dead zones where the products could stagnate. The image shows another solution for sugar processing. Icing sugar is crushed by rotating tools positioned on a rotor inserted in a cast iron stator.

The high peripheral speed of the rotor, the particular impeller shape and the materials used allow to obtain the fineness of a few microns. The required particle size is ensured by the grids at the bottom.
