Sieving capacities are crucial in food production, as this is the only way to ensure that products are free of contaminants. They are available for applications such as check-screening, grading, classifying, and de-dusting. Furthermore, the screening process can be divided as follows: control screening, when a quantity of product between 95 and 100% is passing through the screen; classification, when a quantity of product between 20 and 95% is passing through the screen; dedusting, when a quantity of product between 0 to 20% is passing through the screen.

Round units are available in a wide variety of sizes (diameters from 400 to 2250 mm) and configurations, including ultrasonic technology for very fine screening. Next to rice, there are many applications in the food industry: Spices, cocoa powder, salt, flavourings, nutraceutical powders, etc.
