Dosing pistons used for filling bottles and containers must ensure an accurate filling, often in critical conditions (abrasive products under substantial pressure). SKF products allow to maintain a constant filling volume. Sealing solutions range from simple retrofits to a complete sealing piston, and ensure less unplanned downtime and faster washdowns due to lack of dead spots on seals.

The picture shows D1P seals, consisting in lip seals that can be manufactured in Ecopur-95A-bl-FG and food-grade elastomeric materials. This is a good solution for most standard applications, thanks to its dimensional stability and compatibility with a wide range of handled products. D2P and D3P seals are made in spring-energized thermoplastic materials filled with silicone; when PTFE and UHMW-PE grades are used the seals can be used in harsher environments with respect to the D1P.
