In 2012 Rulli Rulmeca, leading manufacturer of rollers for belt conveyors, is celebrating 50years of activity. Since the year of foundation in 1962, has been changing and developing in combination with the market and the products offer, thus becoming a relevant Italian reality and also the Headquarter of the 22 Rulmeca companies in the world, specializing in the production and sales of rollers, motorized pulleys and components for belt conveyors in bulk handling applications. During the first years of activity, the Company production was focused on the development and manufacture of rollers for medium and heavy duty belt conveyors for quarries and mining applications. At the beginning of the 70s Rulmeca added to the original production all the components for the industries conveyors, for the assembly lines and the unit handling, thanks to the cooperation with Interroll. Later there was also the integration of the motorized pulleys and all the equipment for flow storage. In the 80’s Rulmeca started to explore the international market with the first acquisition of competing foreign companies. Rulmeca has an important customer portfolio with wide applications experiences thanks to a collaboration focus not only as a supplier but as a partner, an over and over renewed and unique production technology, a special sensitivity for the development of new environment friendly products (the last examples are the eco-friendly thermoplastic roller TOP and the new Interroll “save-energy” EC310 RollerDrives).
