ROBINO GALANDRINO
At the facilities of the famous champagne producer G.H. Mumm (Pernod Ricard Group), the automatic monobloc Zenith Z 3/48 Ottico by Robino & Galandrino has been installed. It achieves a real output of 12,000 b/h, and consists of four main units. The first is the automatic capsule distributor with multiple bell with an elliptical oscillating movement, that transfers the capsule from the magazine to the bottle, guaranteeing precise and reliable positioning. The second unit is a rotary carousel with sixteen heads for centering both, bottle and capsule.  The heads feature, in the upper part, an electronic system for the detection of the UV spot on the capsule; and a second electronic system for orienting the bottle in the lower part.  The third unit is a rotary carousel with sixteen pneumatic heads for folding the capsules and forming the four pleats.  The transfer starwheel between the second and third carousel, complete with locking grippers, stabilizes the bottles and guarantees the perfect crimping of the capsule. The last unit is a rotary carousel with sixteen pneumatic heads for the final smoothing of the capsules.
