WATSON

Ideal for breweries with high production capacities, Bredel 25 peristaltic pumps with direct coupling are exclusively distributed by Watson Marlow. Kieselguhr, a sedimentary mineral in slurry form, is a necessary part of the beer filtration process. This process requires the use of peristaltic pumps, because with piston pumps the dissolved oxygen (DO) can infiltrate the beer during the dosing. Even the slightest traces of DO in beer can change its flavour, making it taste stale, with negative effects on the image of the brand and on product sales. Peristaltic pumps maintain a rigorous dissolved oxygen level over the entire process (10 ppb). They do not have valves or gears, and the pumped fluid comes in contact only with the internal wall of the pipe, preventing any contamination. The twin-bearing hub provides sturdiness, and combines the advantages of bare-shaft construction with those of a close-coupled pump. The pumps use heavy duty bearings within the pump rotor, eliminating overhung load; they guarantee low maintenance costs and short installation time.
