Cimbria-SEA Chrome optical sorter are equipped with high-resolution full-color RGB trichromatic cameras which, combined with software HIS, allow a vision similar to the human eye. The system is also integrated with a shape-sizing function to sort out elements according to their geometric characteristics. NIR and InGaAs cameras can be added in combination with RGB cameras to identify foreign bodies which cannot be identified on a color difference, such as sklerotium contamination in unshelled sunflower seeds, which are both dark elements. LED lighting and back-ground system allow the most precise focusing of the beam on the inspection line. The sorters are appreciated for operations requiring high accuracy and efficiency, such as allergen removal, in particular soy beans out of wheat or sorting of elements containing gluten out of gluten-free cereals (maize, rice, buckwheat). Another applications is represented by mixed colors pulses process (kidney beans, lentils, peas, fava beans, etc.).
