Progema Engineering produces brine regeneration plants that use ultrafiltration membrane cartridges selected according to specific customers’ requirements. Every plant is pre-assembled on skids, and on request it is available in smaller versions, even complete with wheels for an easier transfer inside the dairy factory. The plant is controlled via a PLC with intuitive graphic interface available on the user control board that provides control over all filtering and washing functions. According to the model, the technical specifications are: permeate flow-rate from 200 to 2000 l/h; membrane dimensions 2×4″, 2×6″, 4×6”, 6×6″; installed power from 7.5 to 17 kW. For optimised operation, the regeneration system must be connected to: treated and softened water mains for membrane washing (untreated water shortens membrane useful life); steam network at max. 10 bar; drain for brine residues and washing solutions; drums containing concentrated detergents.
