Stretch blow moulding, labelling and filling PET containers on one machine is possible with ErgoBloc L from Krones. The “wet” section of the beverage handling line is a monobloc without conveyors, providing for a controlled and flexible process, with repeatable adjustments. Quick format change-over of the moulds on the Contiform 3 unit allows to quickly set-up the monobloc for processing different types of containers. One operator only is required for managing filling and labelling. The transfer unit between filler and labeller has been optimised, just like the post-cooling of the bottom. In fact, now the bottom of the container is cooled with air and water before and after the labelling unit. For air cooling, a blower is installed instead of compressed air, with savings in costs of more than 10,000 Euro/year. For an additional reduction of costs, instead of the modular labeller usually installed between blow-moulding unit and filler, the bloc integrates a Contiroll unit. Outputs range between 27,000 and 82,000 containers/h, according to the size of the containers and the product to be filled.
