Cepi supplies turn-key plants for the storage, dosing and automation of raw materials for the food industry. The picture shows Silbox, a modular indoor silos in stainless or aluminium steel for storing abrasive and non-abrasive powders and granular products. The inner walls have no angles or asperities, which could prevent the complete emptying of the silo, with relevant hygiene problems. Product extraction occurs via vibrating cone or fluidized bed for chronological unloading (FIFO method).

This method is ideal for flours, as it allows their oxygenation, for the benefit of the final dough. For products such as sugar, short pasta or cous-cous, a special 45° extraction system is available that improves product flow. The stored product is controlled by means of level probes and weighing cells with real-time display of the weight. Each silo can feed up to four lines simultaneously. Cepi’s silos comply with CE safety regulations. Their modular structure allows for future enlargements or future changes.
