Firms operate in an environment characterized by multiple and complex intervening factors. The necessity to move towards advanced organization schemes and faster and more flexible software is shifting the focus on integrated advanced IT solutions, administered by a single partner. To meet these needs, Progetto EDP designed and developed Itaca (Information Technology Aziende Casearie e Alimentari – Information Technology for dairies and food firms), a complete and modular system integrating the typical processes of the agroindustry, and where the broadest features of the sector are already standardized in each firm area. This is not a simple “operating software”, but a tool that embeds all the characteristics of a vertical ERP: coverage of all typical processes; long experience in the field of the technological partner (more than 25 years);a large number of references. This cross-platform solution (Windows, Linux, and AS/400) is easily adaptable to every need.
