Linerless reduces packaging

Detail of RSS 072 linerless labeling machine series TP, produced by ALS

Currently RSS linerless labeling machine deals with 75 mm band width materials. But ALS is planning even a version up to 120 mm with 100 pieces/min. Power is managed via control panel with electronic cards and easy-to-use display for the operator. ALS used pneumatic and electric components of primary quality range and both linerless labels and labeling are the result of a great commitment to innovation. Moreover in planning the company followed its “ecological instinct”, which leads to respect for environment and to follow the initiatives aimed at reducing environmental impact, such as reduction of packaging as expected by the EU in order to reduce landfills. RSS is a labeling system in use since 1999, and today it has references for hundreds of machines used in many parts of the world by supplying to major Italian manufacturers of packaging machines for pasta, rice and coffee. In addition to manufacturers, ALS is able to provide its labeling machines directly to end users, by carrying out a survey on already working packaging machines, finding space and ideal solutions for an efficient linerless system. The application of the label can be carried out directly on the packaged finished product, but also on the material (film) that will form the final packaging.

Zoom on RSS 072 linerless, proposed by ALS without silicon support

The reasons for choosing linerless
Linerless labeling respects environment, avoiding the use of silicon paper, which is very polluting. In addition it:
– eliminates the conversion costs of paper in punched label,
-reduces the cost compared to traditional adhesive labels
-eliminates waste production,
-allows working with bands of upper width,
-reduces downtime and increases output,
-allows changing label length without changing the roll,
-reduces label sizes in stock,
-allows printing on any support.
