To help customers in intercepting shipment errors, Zetes developed an advanced solution for optimised logistics: Medea, with a specific module for the verification of loading bays. Exploiting the ImageID technology, the Dock Door Control module provides automatic pallet verification on the loading bay, thus boosting the efficiency of warehouse processes and ensuring the right products are loaded on the right vehicle; furthermore it provides a vision-based verification of the shipment and of the goods. The Dock Door Control module automatically verifies the loading process using ImageID technology. The cameras installed in the loading bay analyse and detect pallet labels automatically during the loading phase. Labels are correctly scanned, no matter where they may be on the pallet and regardless of their orientation, thanks to cameras with large field and depth of view. In-motion scanning allows detection of labels at a speed of up to 20 km/h. For each pallet a picture is taken which is then stored in the Image Bank, providing visual proof of load and/or condition in case of complaints.
