Ideal for measuring parameters such as ash, proteins and humidity – ProFoss is made by FOSS for the control of raw materials at the beginning and in the final stages of the milling process.
Since the measurements take place directly during the process, sampling errors or sample preparation are minimized to almost zero.
Monitoring process variations using a trend chart and a moving average function allows the detection of process variations and corrections in real time. An incorrect result has no impact as a new result will be generated a few seconds later.
The instrument, which can be connected to the firm PLC/Scada to automatically manage and correct the production process, is rated to IP69K (highest protection for dust and against the effect of high-pressure water and/or steam cleaning at high temperature).
Other technical specifications are: Speed analysis 5-50 ms/integration time, with an average time for result of 3-15 sec; reflection measurement with wavelengths from 1100 to 1650 nm; detector InGaAs diode array; installation in ATEX zone; dual lamp system with automatic switch in case of breakage/exhaustion of the lamp.
