To measure the level of liquids, Balluff Automation proposes the magnetirestrictive transducer BTL6 of the SF series, equipped with 1.5″ Tri-Clamp, housing and floater in stainless steel 1.4404. Thanks to the protection class IP 67/IP 69K, in-place sterilization is possible. The instrument ensures accuracy and sturdiness; it is 3-A approved for compliance to EGEDG, FDA and Ecolab regulations. For applications where the contact with the liquid product is not allowed, an ultrasonic sensor BUS is available, with a diameter of 50 mm. Installed outside of the tank, it can read up to 1 m of height through steel. Intelligent BNI modules, available also in the versions with stainless steel housing, can connect digital and analogic I/O with simple M12 connectors (3/4 poles), unshielded, at a distance of up to 20 metres, by carrying the signals to the PLC via the most used field buses).
