This quantitative immunoreceptor assay detects the metabolite within the EU MRL limits of 0.050 ug/kg or 50 ppt (parts per trillion). The milk sample interacts with the receptors attached to the strip and the color intensity is read by Charm EZ as the amount in ppt of aflatoxin M1.

Aflatoxin-free raw milk samples tested negative for at least 90% with a 95% confidence. The test can be used in the dairy industry to check cream and all types of milk, raw or long-life.

The test follows a one-step procedure and is simple to perform at any time (in the stable, on the truck, before unloading, in the laboratory). The kit includes 100 protected strips (no cross contamination), two M1 aflatoxin vials and standard 100 ppt.
