With the new Quartex Connect series, Schlegel is expanding its range of emergency stop buttons with M12 connection.
Founded in 1945, Schlegel is now an international company. It is based in Germany, with sales offices in Austria, Singapore, China and the USA, and is represented in Italy by Interel Trading. During the design and development of new products, the German company always pursues high standards, especially in terms of design, as confirmed by the numerous international awards it has received, including the iF Design Award, Red Dot Award, Good Design Award and German Design Award. The range now includes emergency pushbuttons designed for 22.3 mm mounting holes. Developed for users who require large emergency solutions, they are robust and easy to integrate.
As with all Connect series, the new range features a practical M12 connection for quick, easy and error-free installation. Since no specialist personnel are required for installation, users can save time and money. In addition, the buttons can be easily integrated into bus systems or networks based on M12 technology. The M12 connection of the Quartex Connect is available in 4- or 5-pin versions with A-coding.
The buttons in the Quartex Connect series are characterised by their robustness, even when subjected to high mechanical stress or accidental impacts in the working environment. The emergency stop button is available with a protective collar to prevent accidental activation or with an oversized collar (diameter up to 70 mm) to prevent accidental jamming.
Illuminated anti-lock collar
For even greater safety, the Quartex Connect series is also available with optional LED lighting: as soon as the emergency button is activated, the danger zone becomes immediately visible thanks to the illuminated protective collar, allowing personnel to intervene quickly and in a targeted manner. The high degrees of protection, front and rear, allow for free mounting without the need for an additional housing. Unlocking is achieved by turning left/right.
The so-called “anti-tamper” function prevents the emergency stop function from being activated without triggering the button locking mechanism. The emergency buttons are equipped with two positive opening contacts (2 NC) and guarantee a mechanical life of 50,000 switching cycles with a switching capacity of 35 V/4 A ac or 35 V/2 A dc. With the new Quartex Connect series, Schlegel offers an emergency button that combines robustness, safety and ease of installation: an ideal solution for modern industrial environments.
