At the heart of the system is the LDS module: as soon as the product enters the machine, slight pressure is applied to the packaging to encourage any gas to escape through holes or micro-holes.

Target molecules such as CO₂ for example, are detected by IR or laser spectroscopy. After the leak test, the X-rays identify contaminants such as glass, metal, high-density plastic, or bones, even in complex packaging (metallized, foil, sheet metal). A dynamic weighing unit verifies that the actual weight corresponds to the nominal weight, reporting any deviations.
