The transformation carried out by Mingazzini is not limited to the introduction of new technologies but is a real mindset change. Each plant is an intelligent, integrated ecosystem with the highest possible connection to processes

The evolution of food industry is driven by two key words: Digitalisation and sustainability. This scenario is where the new paradigm signed by Mingazzini comes in, an Italian historical reality that has been designing and manufacturing high-performance industrial steam plants for over 96 years. An evolution that combines solid experience with a future-oriented vision, where energy efficiency, technological innovation and respect for the environment coexist.

This vision is based on a well-defined strategy: Developing tailor-made solutions for each customer, capable of reducing consumption, improving environmental impact and increasing the overall efficiency of the system. The construction, carried out with utmost care at the Parma plant, allows for maintaining a high-quality standard and customizations designed to perfectly adapt to the needs of each production reality. And this specifically in the food sector, with a particular connection to the dairy industry since its origins.

One of the most advanced examples of this applied philosophy are the steam boilers of the PB series, the beating heart of Mingazzini plants. These boilers, designed to deliver maximum output with minimum environmental impact, start from 90% energy efficiency. But thanks to state-of-the-art heat recovery systems they can reach efficiencies up to 99%. This means less fuel consumed for the same amount of steam produced, with a direct economic and environmental benefit.

Remote Monitoring and Control

One of the hallmarks of the Mingazzini approach is the introduction of remote monitoring and control systems. Thanks to the digitalization of thermal power plants, it is now possible to manage the entire plant through a centralized platform, accessible from any connected device. All operating parameters (pressure, temperature, smoke quality, gas consumption and steam yield) are monitored in real time, allowing not only constant control, but also the activation of automatic adjustments according to the actual requirements of the production process.

This type of interconnection reduces the need for fixed staff and enables predictive maintenance based on intelligent algorithms that can detect anomalies before they result in plant failures or downtime. The continuous data collection and analysis is one of the most valuable resources of the Mingazzini system. Parameters such as the ratio of kilograms of steam produced to cubic meters of gas consumed provide accurate indicators of system efficiency and allow early action to improve it. Adopting predictive maintenance strategies based on this information significantly reduces downtime costs and increases business continuity, critical for a food industry where process times are often critical.

In addition to reducing consumption, Mingazzini innovation also has direct effects on the environment. Boilers are designed to work with highly efficient burners and optimized combustion chambers that deliver ultra-low emissions, well below regulatory limits. This allows not only to comply with the rules, but also to actively contribute to decarbonization objectives and energy transition.

The entire Mingazzini model is fully in line with the principles of Industry 4.0, where the integration of machines, data and people leads to the creation of an intelligent and responsive production environment. The system is not limited to energy management, but is a strategic tool for optimizing costs, improving product quality and making decisions based on objective data. And the thermal power plant is no longer a simple component of the production process, but a strategic lever for the competitiveness of the entire company.
