ALTech develops a high-efficiency system for a UK cheese producer. The customer’s goal was to apply labels to the top and bottom of trays, folding the top one in a U shape to also decorate the sides, enhancing the product’s shelf appeal.

Fully integrated into the packaging line – capable of over 60 packs per minute – the system also allows real-time printing of variable data such as codes, batches and expiry dates. This solution is based on a dual-section ALbelt conveyor equipped with two ALritma labelling heads (top and bottom) and two Sato printers mounted on an ST50 oscillating arm, enabling simultaneous printing without slowing the line.

The U-fold is formed by a double pneumatic folding unit at the end of the conveyor, ensuring precise and repeatable application at high speed. With this project, the Italian company confirms its ability to provide custom, reliable labelling solutions for the food and dairy industries, combining efficiency with superior presentation quality.
