Active since 1988 in the field of air conditioning, photovoltaic systems and renewable energies, Gemini Project takes care of the design, installation and after-sales assistance with a turnkey formula.
The company’s last challenge was to achieve the energy autonomy of the operating plant in Bra (surface area 2050 m2, of which 750 offices) using only solar energy. The successful experiment is a tangible example for other industrial establishments in the food sector.
The process began in 2009 with the installation of the first 20 kWp photovoltaic system on the roof and the installation of 30 kW storage batteries at the end of 2022. In February 2024, the new plant was started, with the replacement of existing photovoltaic panels with mono-crystalline silicon double-sided panels (total power 85 KWP) and the addition of storage batteries up to 90 kW.
In one year of operation, the electricity bill fell from 2000 Euro/month to around 200. A 90% saving that can be reproduced in other companies, which can achieve 100% energy autonomy. Powering a company only with only the sun’s energy is possible now, with an economic and environmental advantage.
