At the latest edition of Cibus Tec, Flow Process presented the Sawa LE series sanitary centrifugal pump, developed for the gentle, and efficient transfer of fluids in food processing.
The optimized fluid-dynamic design of the spiral casing and impeller enables efficiency levels of up to 75%, helping to reduce energy consumption.
Hygienic construction free of dead zones facilitates rapid and effective cleaning and is compatible with CIP and SIP processes. Constructed from Aisi 316L stainless steel with electropolished surfaces, the series features a robust design and is suitable for transferring fluids containing solids.
Applications in the food industry include milk, cream, curd, buttermilk, yogurt, proteins, and lactose. The range offers flow rates of up to 240 m³/h and heads up to 90 m, with operating temperatures ranging from -86 to +266°F (up to 150°C during SIP processes). Various configurations and process connections are available to tailor the pump to specific system requirements.
